DUR-A-PLEX® Acrylic Latex
Water-based latex paints have always been popular with do-it-yourselfers and professional painters because of their easy cleanup with plain soap and water. Historically, however, latex paints have not had the reputation for durability and performance as solvent based systems.
Today's acrylic latex paints, however, offer excellent adhesion to most surfaces and have a better elasticity than their Alkyd Resin counterpart. They have superior resistance to chalking and fading, especially when exposed to bright sunlight. Acrylic Latex paints go on smoothly and evenly with less brush drag. They are less likely than Alkyd Resin paints to grow mildew and maintain a fresh appearance over time. They can be used effectively on wood, concrete, stucco, brick, galvanized metal, vinyl and wood siding, etc, have very little odor, are non-combustable, offer a simple water cleanup and dry very quickly, permitting rapid recoating.
